The adventure begins with inheriting a farm, where a tutorial guides you through the basics like harvesting, plowing, and managing equipment. However, for complete beginners, it can be a bit confusing as it doesn't cover all the details right away. On the other hand, veterans will appreciate the small improvements that make the game more fluid. One of the key innovations is the GPS system that allows for precise tracking of paths in the field, avoiding unnecessary detours - perfect for those who love efficiency.
The physics have also been improved: you'll feel the weight of full trailers, and the ground is now worked with visible furrows, which adds depth and makes driving more challenging. Elements such as weather, rice cultivation, and several new animal species have also been added, which expands the possibilities. For comparison, compared to Farming Simulator 22, the changes are not revolutionary, but they are enough to refresh the experience, especially compared to older titles like FS19.
The core of the game remains the same – planting, tending to crops, harvesting, and earning money through contracts to work on other people’s farms. You can rent machines instead of buying them, which makes it easier to get into the game without a big investment. The AI helpers are a bit better than before, but they still have problems with navigation, such as following the harvester or avoiding obstacles. Caring for the animals is fairly passive: you feed them via the interface, but there are no major consequences for neglecting them, which may be a disappointment for those looking for depth.
As for the forest and other activities, they are present, but not as elaborate as in some previous releases. The traffic on the roads and the NPCs can be frustrating, often blocking or not responding logically. However, for those who like a relaxed simulation, this is ideal - you can spend hours driving a tractor, and the contracts help you learn what equipment is needed for different tasks.
Graphically, the game looks better than ever, with realistic depictions of machinery and tillage effects. However, it's not on the same level as top-notch simulations like Mudrunner - the focus is more on functionality than spectacular visuals. The sound, on the other hand, is the real star: the roar of engines, the creaking of trailers and the sounds of plowing are so authentic that they immerse you in the atmosphere. It's definitely a step up from its predecessors.

Farming Simulator 25 isn't a perfect game, but it's currently the best option for those who want to experience real farming life from the comfort of their own home. Its small changes make it more interesting than its predecessor, and it can even teach you a thing or two about farming. If you like simulations, this is a solid choice, but be prepared for monotony and technical issues. Overall rating: About 7/10 – enough to keep you going, but not groundbreaking.
